My Saturday mornings were nearly ritualistic in their scheduling and adherance. Up early, 6am, so I could be awake and dressed and tuned in for Kung-Fu Theatre on the local UHF station (pre-cable, baby!) at 6:30. At 8am, grab food quick, and get back for cartoons: Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Hong-Kong Phooey, Banana Splits, Rocky and Bullwinkle, and, of course, the gamut of Sid and Marty Krofft shows. All culminating at noon with the midday Creature Feature, back on the aforementioned UHF station, and then the mid-afternoon movie at 2, which might or might not have been worth watching.
(*sigh*) The good ol' days. When cartoons were on all morning, and they were more than just 30 minute commercials. I miss the 70's...hell, I miss the 80's.
ANyway, all this reminiscing brought to you by the kind folks over at Land Of The Lost Dot Com.
