Brainwaves

Long weekend...between Bug and The Sims, anyway. Sims-wise, I just finished a huge house/techno danceclub, built out of a renovated factory...I have to say, I like the way it turned out. Bug seems to get a kick out of watching me play, which is odd, since it's not a "action-y" game, but what the Hell.

Speaking of Bug, things seem to be going well, but I still wonder what's going on in his head sometimes. Di says he thinks I'm pretty cool, and she'd know, so I guess that is a good sign. Still, anytime I have to speak less-than-friendly to him, I cringe. Just part of being a parent, though.

I've been doing a lot more thinking about this job that I'm interviewing for on Wednesday. Still don't know the particulars, obviously, but just considering the basics. Talent Scout...talk about hard and easy at the same time! From the little research I've been able to do, it seems to be mostly out-of-the-office, which is nice, and your hours are up to you, which is also nice, but does make it easy to slide on, so I'd have to be careful. And I dunno if the pay is strictly commission, or combo of that and salary. I'm not in a position to turn DOWN a job, so I'll take it if it's offered to me, but working strictly for commission is a bitch. Well, if that is it, I'll take it and keep looking for another job in the meantime. Frankly, though, I think I'm kinda looking forward to being able to walk up to people, flash my business card, and say "have you ever considered getting into the entertainment industry?" with a straight face (though, when I was single, that would've been a great pick-up line). Well, enough speculation...I'll let you know how it goes.

Heading off to watch Thumb Wars and The Blair Thunb.
