Sure, there's still plenty of work before it's day-to-day feasible, but they are nearly there. The other reason I post this is as a slap to the FDA. This researcher has skirted FDA testing regulations by having the couple of people he's worked on go to fucking Lisbon for the surgery. Good for him. Fuck the government, if someone VOLUNTEERS to have this stuff done, it should be done. And, because he has worked around these puritanical laws (whoa, Frank, come full circle to the Chung article, why doncha?), he has made leaps and discoveries that normally would have taken another 20 years. This is one of the richest and most technological countries in the world, we should be using that position, not hindering it. OK, that was sort of off on a tangent...this still kicks ass.
