Shuttle Kablowie

Lost another one, did we? Well, damn. My thoughts go out to the families of the astronauts. Still, and call me a heartless cynic if you like, I'm not gonna shed tears for them, nor am I gonna call them heroes. They were doing their job, a dangerous job, and they knew the risks. I'm sorry that they died, and I'm sorry for how this will affect the space program...it is a great loss.

However, I can ALREADY see it being turned into something it isn't. Because of the Isreali astronaut onboard, every news report I see is yammering on about how NASA was worried that the shuttle might become a 'terrorist target'. Jeezus, let it go. All we need is MORE fire for Shrub's "righteous crusade".

True, I don't mourn them, anymore than I mourn the milions of other people that die every day. Death happens, and if you aren't the dead one, or close to the dead ones, you move on.
