Ow...Ow...Ow...Ow...Ow...Ow...Ow...Ow...Ow...Ow...
Holy fucking hellfire, was I in pain when I woke up. Shoulders and neck were making damn sure I knew how annoyed they were with me, and I'm not totally sure what for...they weren't THAT abused yesterday. Still, it's down to a dull roar, now. *whine*

Thanks to stig_mata and kitty_blackwell, I've found something that I'd dearly love to have: an MP3 player, built into the body of the ammunition magazine of Kalashnikov automatic rifle. It'll even fit just fine in the magazine slot of an AK, if you just happen to have one lying around. Beautiful...and makes me think of a 'project' that savrille and I were talking about recently (which I still love the sound of).

I don't think I mentioned it, though I intended to, so I want to take a moment to shout out a big ol' "HELL YEAH" to kespernorth, who got accepted to grad school. That kicks mucho buttock, m'man, I'm very happy for you and very proud of you!

Um, I had something else I was gonna say, but IM convos have made me forget it. Maybe later.

Damn. That's fuckin' awesome.

But....uh....why?

Heh, don't answer. I'm a guy. I know, already. Actually...I'D love to have that.

I was just wondering, and ignore me if you've mentioned this before or if I've already asked... but have you tried chiropractic or yoga for your pain? I especially can't recommend yoga highly enough -- it is miraculous for just about everything. No matter what level you start at, or how progressed your injuries, you can benefit greatly from it. Just a thought. :)

Re:
I tried yoga for a little while, back when i wa into martial arts (and incidently had much more flexibility than i have now!), but it didn't do much for me. I also went to a chiropractor for a while (who, come to think of it, I knew through martial arts), and it DID help a little, but that was over 10 years ago.

One of these days, I'll have medical insurance again, and at that point, I'm going in to have them do the full whatsis on my shoulders. I'm not sure what all is wrong in there, but it's gone too damn far, I'm afraid. Just hoping that either I get it fixed or my arms just fall off...at this point, either one would feel better. ;)

You just need to get your ass back into martial arts. Solves all problems. Mind over body, grasshopper.

Re:
I figured out mind over body years ago...I just walk upright.

You're on your way.

Step 1: Walk upright.
Step 2: Tackle that whole opposable thumb thing.

Re:
I can do the opposable thumb thing in any position, though. But walking upright keeps my mind over my body.

Yes, I got the joke.

I actually do have an old magazine for an AK laying around. *lol*

No longer have the gun, but have still have one of the magazines, go figure.

And now i'm suddenly all curious about this project you seemingly evil genius' have in mind. haha

Re:
Well, it was an idea for building an MP3 player into the cast of a fake hand, made suitably gruesome and zombie-esque. I just love the thought of a corpse's hand, hanging from my belt, that's really a walkman...and he'd be the man to be able to make it.

If you guys figure out how to do that, count me in for one. *l* I had an online friend at one time who did special effects professionally. Too bad I am not in touch with him anymore. haha
