Goth Toys
As if the day couldn't get any cooler....

I never did post about this -- the other day, Bug and I were at Value Village (second-hand thrift store kinda place, for those that don't have it it your area) with Di, and while she was looking for some costume pieces, he and I wandered off to laugh at other things. Had a great time bouncing on couches and throwing stuffed animals back and forth at each other, and eventually, Di came over to us to get our opinions. As Bug was digging through the rest of the stuffed creatures, he tugs on one, and wonders aloud why there would be a stuffed candy bar in there. Curious, I looked for myself, and what I came across was immediately snatched up, as I knew I'd never find another. Thus, thanks to my little buddy, I'm now the owner of a toy that is a true mark of goth-dom: the foot-and-a-half-tall smiley stuffed coffin.

Now, I hit the mailbox today, and what to my wandering eyes should appear but a box, one I had been waiting on for a good couple weeks. This box was sent to me by poisonous_vine. I partly knew the contents, as she had mentioned that she was sending me a 'Living Dead Doll' that she didn't want, and which I had expressed interest in, mostly because it looks like several people I know. She had mentioned that there would be a couple other things inside, but I didn't know what to expect.

The doll really DOES look like people I know...which is scary in and of itself. The Skull Tree you see is a good sized twist of wires, each with the little skull on the end, and the tombstone says "R.I.P. - You're Invited" on it...very cool looking. The Gargoyle Box...whoa, as you can see, it's absolutely GORGEOUS...and little did Jessie know I'm a nut for gargoyles, so it was doubly cool. And the Devil Duckie, well, I knew there would have to be SOME kind of duck in the box (Jessie's a duck freak), but I've always wanted a Devil Duckie, and never got one, so that makes it all triple cool.

Jessie, I cannot thank you enough...that was so sweet, and so wonderfully cool, that it simply made my week. Devil Duckie is presently sitting next to Duckbrain on my monitor, and I shall find homes for the rest. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Consider this a big hug and kiss from across the country for being entirely too cool for further words!

Hell yes...Di loved it all as well! I was starting to wonder if the box had gotten lost inb the mail or something, and if I didn't get it today, i was gonna see when it was actually sent serendipitous!

The tree was a little flattened, but it perked up quite well, with a little dark lovin'.
