Manners

So, we just got back from the flick. Yes, I've seen it, but it was nice to see it on the big screen.

However...

My enjoyment of it was almost completely countered by the sheer number of small children present in the theatre, pretty much ALL of which were babbling the whole time. Add to that the little bastard that was sitting in the row behind me, a few seats over, who, on top of the incessant verbiage, was constantly flipping the seat next to him and then stetching out to kick the back of MY seat, and you have the makings of a potentially bad sitch. I finally said something to him, and he stopped, for about five minutes.

Now, what I want to know is why the child's MOTHER, sitting right next to him, didn't do something. I know I heard her speak to him...ONCE. After that, she apparently decided that it wasn't going to do any good, and didn't bother. I'm also curious as to why so many parents brought their small children to see a movie about zombie pirates, who quite visibly kill people. I know the movie was made by Disney, but it's not exactly five-year-old fare.

People, people, people...how about doing a little PARENTING? Teach your children how to behave in polite society...instill in them a little manners, a little class. And if they CAN'T behave, try correcting them, instead of just shrugging your shoulders with that "what can you do" attitude.

Fucking humanoids. These people don't deserve to be with the rest of us. I try to be tolerant, I really do, but some people JUST DON'T GET IT.
