*WHEW*
What a morning.  Too much stuff to do...but it's done NOW!  Time for some pasta salad, and some XIII...Doom 3 waits for the evening an darkness, heh heh...

Also, in other news, there's a good chance I'm retiring this icon.  I love it, but I'm getting really tired of people thinking it's Travis Tritt.

corachaos: I swear I haven't forgotten about you!  I'm still working on some ideas, the crazy week and busy weekend just put me behind.

I agree with you on Doom 3 - it requires darkness. Reminds me of System Shock 2 in parts. Just for the feel.

awwww....you can't retire it - it's my favorite! You DON'T look like Travis Twitt, I mean Tritt! The dorks that suggest that need a beatdown!

I must play Doom 3. If you don't mind my asking, what kind of rig are you running it on and how satisfied are you with it? I hear it's a hog but I've got a decent box and figure it should run well: 1.6ghz P4, 256meg RAM, GeForce 4 Ti 4600 for video and an Audigy 2 sound card.

Well, let's see, Luciphage's stats:

3.2 GHz dual processor (Intel P4)
1 GB RAM
ATI Radeon 9600
Audigy 2

It runs pretty damn sweet, actually. It's enough over base specs to work groovy (base specs are: video card with DX 9.0 compatability and at least 64MB of video memory (Radeon 8500 or a GeForce 3), a Pentium 4 1.5ghz or Athlon XP 1500+ processor, 384MB of RAM). It is quite a resource hog, yes. John Carmack made a comment about letting the graphics engine get kinda out of hand, but because he wanted lots of flexibility, or something.
